A carefully designed and crafted system to extend the performance of any nOrh product. This is much more than a woofer in a box. Using Vifa's most expensive 8" woofer and our own amplifiers, our subwoofers will simply amaze you with their performance. The subwoofers are designed to operate in pairs and they are designed so that the music will have more authority and sound more natural.
The nOrh marble subwoofer is a folded prism transmission line. While the cabinet appears to be a standard rectangle box from the outside, it is actually designed so that the internal cabinet is divided into two prisms. This causes sound to decay quicker. Furthermore, the transmission line effectively doubles the size of wavelengths that can be accommodated internally.
The rigid cabinet
has more internal volume than most subwoofers--65 liters.
The nOrh Marble Subwoofer is one of the first subwoofers that are designed to look beautiful as well as sound glorious. A single nOrh marble subwoofer with a pair of nOrh 4.0s will challenge even some of the most expensive loudspeakers available.
The nOrh marble subwoofer can be positioned just about anywhere in the room. It is not essential that the woofer face the listener.
The ideal way to use the nOrh marble subwoofer is to buy them in pairs. The subwoofer is the ideal height to act as a pair of stands.
Start with a pair of nOrh 4.0s and and add a nOrh marble subwoofer--one cabinet at a time, and you can build a system that rivals some of the most expensive loudspeakers available. The nOrh Subwoofer is ideal to upgrade and extend the performance of the nOrh 4.0, 5.1 SM 6.1, mini 9.0 or nOrh 7.0.
The nOrh 9.0
and SM 6.9 already have very deep bass. The nOrh marble subwoofer can
extend the bass even deeper but you would need to roll off the subwoofer
at about 40 Hz.
